MotoMadrid 2012 Success
More than 35,000 people attended one of the three days of MotoMadrid, the long-awaited motorcycle show held at the Pabellón de Cristal in the Casa de Campo in Madrid.
Throughout the weekend, more than 35,000 people visited MotoMadrid, the motorcycle show held in the capital after five years since the last similar event. The Pabellón de Cristal in the Casa de Campo filled up with people who love two wheels, showing that in the city centre there is a great deal of “mono” for motorbikes.
Thanks to its three floors with separate areas for new motorbikes, used ones and accessories, you could come over to search for and compare any motorbike you wanted, as well as take a photo with it or try it out statically, since nearly all of the brands in the sector were represented.
But if what you wanted was to test ride, six different circuits were waiting for you with motorbikes prepared for that purpose, in addition to the mini-motorbike exhibitions run by KSB or the stuntman Carlos Balboa. You could also watch trials or parkour in the indoor area on the ground floor.
Another of the moments most anticipated by fans was without a doubt the autograph signings held by the MotoGP riders Héctor Barberá and Álvaro Bautista and the Moto2 rider Julián Simón, who did not stop for the whole time they were there, attending to everyone and posing for photos with their fans.
And if you wanted… you could walk away with the motorbike! That is the good thing about a show like this: the brands made their products known and also offered discounts to attendees who, thanks to two sponsors of MotoMadrid, also got insurance and financing.
The truth is the wait was worth it, and there was great eagerness for a major motorcycle show to return to Madrid, one where fans can get their hands on the motorbikes of their dreams. Let us hope they repeat it next year, since it is clear that the event has been a complete success.
