Miguel Oliveira balances being a racer with his dentistry studies

The rider Miguel Oliveira has shown his other side for the first time, as the Portuguese is combining his racing career in the Moto2 World Championship with his university studies in dentistry. So for the first time we see him in action in this facet, away from the track and the two wheels.

Oliveira swaps his helmet and racing suit for a green gown and a dentist’s mask. The Portuguese rider of Red Bull KTM Ajo has already begun his first work placements as a dentist and, just a few days ago, received a special patient, Brad Binder. The South African fell victim to his own teammate, who surprised him hiding behind all the dentist’s gear.

Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder are having a great season in KTM’s Moto2 debut. With several podiums and a good position in the overall standings, the Portuguese is surprising everyone, a feat that deserves even more credit given that he is still studying at university. Although he is currently prioritising racing, Oliveira hopes one day to finish a degree, and he is already in his second year.

Without a doubt, the Portuguese has given us a surprise with this side of himself that he kept more private, so good luck to Miguel with his studies; he will surely achieve his goals in both areas. For now, it is one of the surprises of the season, considering that this is KTM’s debut in the intermediate class.
