Mercado and Jezek test Superstock at Motorland Aragón

The two riders from the Barni Racing team in the 2014 FIM Superstock Cup, Leandro Mercado and Ondrej Jezek, spent last week testing at the Motorland Aragón Circuit, where the season for this category will get underway in a few weeks.

Both riders improved their feeling with the Ducati 1199 Panigale R and achieved consistent lap times over the two days, going step by step and working on every detail, aiming to arrive in the best possible condition for this first race of the 2014 season.

Statements from Tati Mercado:

The test went really well. We have taken important steps forward in the setup, I am building a good rapport with the Panigale, and I must say the chassis is very good. My pace is not bad and I feel we have taken the right direction, so I hope to keep it that way. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work we have done.

Statements from Ondrej Jezek:

I am satisfied with the test at Aragón. It was great to get back on the bike after the winter break. We have gathered valuable information for the season and the team has worked very well. We have achieved important progress in the setup of the bike. I am looking forward to getting back out on track.

It will be interesting to see what Superstock has in store for us this season, and we will have to keep a close eye on all the teams. Everything is very open, so there is maximum excitement and tension at this first event scheduled at the Motorland Aragón track. All of this, together with the arrival of Superbike and Supersport for their second round after the debut at Phillip Island.
