Max Biaggi will NOT be at Magny Cours for the Superbikes
Rider Max Biaggi will also miss the World Superbike round at the Magny Cours circuit, and hopes to be recovered for the final race at Portimão.
Rider Max Biaggi will miss the penultimate World Superbike round at the Magny Cours circuit, so the reigning champion is also out of the French race, after missing the Imola round due to an injury.
The injury to his left foot has been very complicated; without a doubt, the incident at Nürburgring has marked the final part of the championship for the Italian, since it forced him to say NO to Imola, and now it also forces him to say NO to Magny Cours.
Apparently, after the doctors would not let him take part in Imola, everything seemed to indicate that he could be at the French track, but a few hours ago the medical examination showed that the fracture in his metatarsal is not completely healed, with results very similar to last week’s, so he has been left out of the races once again.
Statements by Max Biaggi:
I would have liked to be at Magny Cours, just as I wanted to race at Imola.
The fact is that I was at the track on Thursday to look for possible solutions, but unfortunately, I had to give in to the medical tests.
The same happened for Magny Cours, a round at which I hoped to be recovered. Unfortunately, this injury requires a recovery time that does not match my wishes.
Now I am going to do my best to go through the recovery process and to end this season at the Portimão round.
