Maverick Viñales is the pole sitter of the 125GP CEV at Catalunya
The Circuit de Catalunya has seen the 125GP category take to the track for the first time this 2010, so the cradle of world champions has gone out to run on the Catalan circuit to start a season that promises to be highly interesting.
Maverick Viñales was the fastest and has taken pole position for 125GP, and it seems without a doubt that last season’s runner-up wants to go for the title from the very start, so as not to make the mistakes that cost him the crown in 2009.
That is why, with the Hune Racing Team, he has started very strongly, claiming pole in Catalunya after setting a time of 1:53.641 in the first practice session and leaving his main rival, Alex Rins, more than half a second behind, although afterwards the Team Monlau Competición rider got closer in the second qualifying practice sessions.
But these two riders will not be alone, as behind them are the other Monlau rider, Niklas Ajo, and completing the front row, Johnny Rosell, so both the Finn and the Stop&Go rider are tough rivals and will give everything to stop Viñales and Rins from getting away.
In the second row are Hiroki Ono, Isaac Viñales, Iván Maestro and Alan Techer, although they are not the only ones who could come on strong from behind; other riders such as Miguel Oliveira could spring a surprise and move up front in this first 125GP CEV race.
We will keep a close eye on 125GP.

Lo viviste in situ. Bien, bien, felicidades. A ver si algún día coincidimos en algún circuito.
Claro, sería un placer 🙂
