Marco Melandri could return to MotoGP with Aprilia and Gresini

Rider Marco Melandri could return to the MotoGP World Championship with Aprilia, now that the brand has announced its return for the next season, 2015. We will have to see who will be in charge of putting these machines into action with Aprilia and Gresini Racing.

During the last round of the world championship in San Marino, the 33 was present, and everything points to him watching how the situation between Aprilia and Gresini is unfolding. Let us remember that the Italian rider is currently with Aprilia in the World Superbike Championship, and in these last races he has been one of the protagonists after a somewhat difficult start.

Melandri left the MotoGP World Championship at the end of the 2010 season, but we could see him back, since he knows the machine well and also the Gresini team, with which he competed in the premier class during 2005-2007. For now nothing is confirmed, but Melandri is undoubtedly on the list of possible riders.

It is nice to see Aprilia and Gresini together. For my part, I am sure I will stay with Aprilia. I have to see what they want to do, both here and in Superbike, but at Aprilia I feel at home. It would be great to try to develop their bike.

I want to return (to MotoGP), but I don’t want to be there just to fill the grid. I know it won’t be easy at first, but I am sure that, working step by step, we could achieve good results.

For now, he has to focus on Superbike and the races that remain, although Melandri is undoubtedly a young man, full of experience, who wants to continue with Aprilia, and he could be the right rider for this new chapter.
