Marc Márquez tops the Moto2 FP3

Marc Márquez continues like a bullet in FP3 and will fight for pole position at Motorland in Moto2.

The Catalan rider, Marc Márquez, dominates Moto2, is no longer a secret to anyone. We all know he is going to make the championship a bit tighter. Moto2 promises us another heart-stopping race where we want to see Marc cut many points off Stephan’s lead.

FP3 has been longer than usual due to the cancellation of FP2 yesterday. During the first few laps, we saw riders taking short runs to come into the pits and make the necessary adjustments that could not be made yesterday.

Marc’s time was 1:53.888, which he set with several minutes remaining, so he will surely be able to maintain a good pace in the race. De Angelis was second at 296 thousandths (1:54.184), and was one of the category’s leaders today. It seems the MotoBi is going very well on this track.

Redding third at 443 thousandths, and Luthi fourth.

Bradley Smith had an accident when we were already 20 minutes into the session, but he managed to return to the track and achieved the ninth-best time.

The one who has faded somewhat compared to yesterday’s results has been Iannone, who has gone from setting the third-best time to finding himself outside the top three.

Bradl motorland

Bradl was fifth at 550 thousandths. We hope this gap grows, because although we think Bradl is an excellent rider, we always want the best for our own.

Aleix Espargaró finished seventh. We hope it is due to testing on the bike, since yesterday he set the second-best time, very close to Márquez.

Elena Rosell remains in position 39, has decided to take it easy, and that is what she should do. She must not get carried away and push hard, because she has to adapt to the category. Even so, she is cutting into her time compared to yesterday. In yesterday’s session she was more than 6 seconds off, and today she is at 5.342. Her teammate Julián has climbed to tenth place, a real feat given the injury he has.

The top ten are:

  1. Márquez
  2. De Angelis
  3. Redding
  4. Luthi
  5. Bardl
  6. Pirro
  7. Aleix E
  8. Kalio
  9. Smith
  10. Simón
