Marc Márquez showing good pace ahead of the start of the Moto2 season in Qatar

Rider Marc Márquez has finished the official Moto2 test as one of the best, and without a doubt the Catalan continues to surprise everyone with his adaptation to the intermediate class and with the times he has set across the various sessions.

The 125cc world champion has completed a very interesting test. After being left wanting more at Estoril, the Catalan has had three more or less quiet days, although rain and wind have also made an appearance.

Márquez finished the session as the second-fastest rider of all the participants, behind Stefan Bradl, after setting a 1:42.980, a spectacular, record-pace lap. Now the testing is over and it’s time for real competition, since Moto2 riders have no more sessions until they arrive in Qatar for the first race of the 2011 season.

Today was the last pre-season test. I believe we should be satisfied with the teamwork we have done. We have achieved the goals we set ourselves each day, and I think that is the most important thing to consider.

The overall assessment of the pre-season should be positive. I feel more and more comfortable with the bike and, although we still have a lot to do, I want to thank all the members of my team for the great work they are doing.

In the morning, we were finally able to enjoy better conditions. We managed a good time, although that was not our main objective. As for the long runs, we can also be satisfied, as we have been quite consistent.

In Qatar things will be different, since it is a completely new circuit for Moto2 and, besides, we will be together with all the riders in the category. That is where we will really see how things stand.
