Rider Maikel Melero has become the Spanish Freestyle Motocross Champion in the 2022 edition, undoubtedly a great year of action in the discipline.

A few days ago, rider Maikel Melero crowned himself Spanish Freestyle Motocross Champion in Murcia, so in this final round of the season he claimed the title for this edition, and without giving his rivals any chance, he also won the event.
With this victory, Melero has managed to be crowned national champion four times in this discipline. More than 7,000 spectators gathered for this final round, where the new champion would be decided, and they were able to enjoy an incredible show with some of the best riders in the discipline in action.
They saw Front Flips No hands, Underflips, Back Flips Seatgrab, Cali Roll or even the Double Backflip, some of the tricks that delighted everyone present. The results in Murcia saw Melero take the victory, followed by Pedro Moreno and Greg Rowbottom. With this final, the championship ends with Melero as Champion, Moreno 2nd and Bizouard 3rd.
Melero’s statements.
I’m extremely happy with the victory. I was really eager to fight for a championship after practically 3 years without being able to do so, so this victory feels just as good as, or even better than, my first title. This championship has been special both for me and for all the participants, thanks also to the great crowd presence at every round. Seeing so many spectators in the stands cheering and enjoying themselves is what we really love most. Thanks to everyone and see you next time.
On to the next season.
