Lorenzo Competición already has a school in Recas, Toledo.
The youngest riders can now train and learn thanks to Chicho Lorenzo's method at the new Recas school.
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Karting Correcaminos in Recas (Toledo). In these magnificent facilities, Chicho Lorenzo’s school has set up one of its rider schools. Alberto and Félix are the owners of the karting track, and they have a special connection with motorcycles, since on their circuit riders of the caliber of Álvaro Bautista or Julián Simón train with the supermotards (with whom they share a special friendship).
The classes are taught by rider José Luis Martínez Adán, who, in addition to being a certified instructor for Lorenzo Competición, is a coach on sport riding courses at the Jarama Circuit. He went to take a course to improve his riding, and was so delighted with the method that he decided to dedicate himself to teaching it to the youngest riders.
They have two circuits exclusively for minimotos and minimotards where the little ones learn how to ride a motorcycle. On the one they call “the tube,” they practice changing direction, since it is very narrow and winding and forces you to shift from side to side constantly. On the other, a bit longer and wider, they practice posture and controlling the slide.
The ideal age to start in this world is between 2 and 4 years old. It may seem very early, but at this age everything they learn stays with them, and they end up riding in a natural way, without needing to think. It was fascinating to watch the youngest ones (some with a pacifier) train their balance on small bikes, before climbing onto their minimotos and going a few laps around the circuit.
The day for these young riders begins with reading their own summary of the previous training session, and checking whether they have understood the mistakes they made. Then, they do stretching to promote flexibility, and are told what they are going to practice that day. Every child is different, and the method adapts to each student’s level and understanding. They also seek to build a partnership with the parents, since they too have to help correct any fault or defect they detect in their child’s riding.
All the physical exercise they do is very gentle, and always focused on motorcycling, whether motocross, trial or speed. They also count on the help of Sandra Recuenco. She is a dietitian and psychologist, which helps when working with the little ones. Because we must not forget they are children, and they have to see this as a game, as something fun. If it becomes an obligation, there is a good chance they will lose their enthusiasm.
From Plusmoto we want to thank José Luis for letting us “come into the kitchen” to see how they train, Alberto and Félix, owners of the karting track, for opening their facilities and letting me move around the entire circuit without any problems, Chicho Lorenzo for thinking about the future talent pipeline, and above all the students: ALEJANDRO GOMEZ, age 2, ALEX REINA, age 2, MIGUEL DIAZ, age 3, CRISTIAN FUENTE, age 2, SERGIO GOMEZ CARO, age 7, IVAN FERNANDEZ, age 2, MIGUEL ANGEL PLAZA, age 3, and LUIS SANCHEZ-TIRADO, age 6, since without them I could not have done this report.

muchas gracias por ralizar estos tipos de reportaje que ayudan a fomentar la cantera y la gran pasion por las motos que tenemos desde pequeños.

Hola, me yamo Encarna, tengo un hijo de 5 años y me gustaria saver cuanto costaria apuntarle a esta escuela, la verdad q savemos q stams mal económicamente soy madre soltera y cn tres hijos si ubiera una ayuda económica para poder apuntar a mi hijo, sólo es uno, a cristian le gusta mucho las motos y ahora está aprendiendo con migo haciendo ceros y ochos xo ya se le queda pequeño. hola señores yo estoy interesado en montar una escuela de pilotos de minimoto tengo 72 minimotos de todos tipos y marcas y me interesaria que me embiaran los modelos de fichas de inscriccion,fichas de mecanica para instuirles, personal necesario, y duracion de los cursos y precio por inscriccion, sos de ciudad rodrigo, y tenemos el terreno para el circuito en un pueblo cercano ala frontera con portugal, muchu les agradeceria mandaran la informacion que les solicito, pues yo en particular ya en montado casi todas lar motos del mercado, pasando por las, montesas,bultacos tralla y metralla, derbis, torror,,e,t,c, asiesque este deporte lo vivo y ahora quiero montar una escuela para la creacion de nuevos campeones, saludos y muchas gracias por todo.

Nosotros no podemos ayudarte en lo que comentas, somos una página de noticias e información de motociclismo y motos, así que no podemos asesorarte, en todo caso intenta hablar con alguna escuela que ya tenga experiencia en ello.
