Leon Haslam successfully operated on for his right tibia
Rider Leon Haslam has undergone surgery this morning in Melbourne on his right tibia. Fortunately, it seems everything went well, and the rider of BMW will fight to be at the Superbikes race at Phillip Island.

The crash happened last Monday, when Haslam was thrown over his machine in the area of the finish straight, landing with such bad luck on his heels that it caused a fracture of the right tibia, and minor damage to the left heel and the little toe of the right foot, so it was a very nasty accident for the rider of BMW.
In the first check-ups, those injuries were revealed, and action began for his recovery. The first step was to schedule the operation to fit two screws and possibly a plate on the right tibia injury. Fortunately, this procedure went well and the rider is in good condition. Now comes what worries Leon the most: whether he will be able to race or not next Sunday on the Australian track.
I’ll repeat it: riders are made of different stuff, because the 91 was operated on just a few hours ago and is already talking about taking part in Phillip Island, depending on how the operated area feels on Friday and Saturday. This means the rider of BMW will be back on his SBK bike within days.
The rider himself posted a photo on Twitter after the operation, announcing that everything went well and that he will try to race on the Australian track this weekend, at the first event of the 2012 season.
Completely different stuff, him and Laverty.
Get well soon, champion.
