Rider Leon Camier could be very close to an agreement to be one of the participants in the next 2014 MotoGP World Championship season, with the Ioda team, although for now it is not official nor confirmed by the parties, but it seems that negotiations are going in the right direction.
Camier was one of the riders in the 2013 Superbike World Championship with Suzuki, achieving interesting results and fighting, although in a second group and not with the favorites. Now this offer has come up, which is most interesting and has filled the young rider with desire and strength.
For now, the Italian team has confirmed Danilo Petrucci in its team, who is waiting for confirmation from his team about the bike they will have next season, since everything points to them possibly stopping using the Suter-BMW and opting for the Aprilia package for the following year.
They are still in negotiations with Camier from the Italian team, since the rider has other possibilities for the next season in the Superbike World Championship, but it is clear that Leon’s preference is his entry into MotoGP, even if it is in that subcategory of the championship.
Adapting will not be easy for Camier if he finally decides to bet on his move to MotoGP, new circuits, new machine and many differences, but it would be most interesting to see him in action. We will also have to wait for confirmation of the bike that Ioda Team is betting on for 2014.
Everything still to be confirmed.
