Kenny Roberts will return to the track at Laguna Seca with Yamaha

Yamaha has announced that former rider Kenny Roberts will once again climb aboard one of its machines at the famous Laguna Seca circuit, as part of the United States Grand Prix.

So the three-time premier class World Champion will once again put on his racing suit at his home track. He will be there for all three days and, as if that were not enough, he will also take part in the Fan Lap, a lap of the circuit with a group of fans.

On Friday, July 22, he will take part in the long-awaited Fan Lap, while on Saturday he will take the controls of a YZR-M1 from the brand, designed for this US event and wearing the classic colours of the 50th anniversary. On Sunday he will also ride a couple of laps, this time on the YZR500 with which he became champion in 1980.

This will be the first time I ride at the US GP, and everything is ready to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the championship I won with the YZR!
