Kenny Noyes retires from the Moto2 race at Silverstone due to visibility problems
Rider Kenny Noyes had a difficult weekend at Silverstone Circuit. In Moto2, his race was affected by vision problems when his visor fogged up, and he was unable to ride comfortably during the sixth round of the season.
In the end, the 9th-place starter on the Moto2 grid had to retire due to these problems. After the difficulties in practice at Silverstone, the race proved even tougher: his visor fogged up, causing significant visibility issues, along with considerable trouble with the front end and a lack of positive feeling.
Therefore, given the conditions and the slim chances of scoring points that he had at Silverstone, the rider decided to retire to avoid crashes and greater risks.
Below are the statements from Kenny Noyes:
It didn’t go as well as we wanted. My visor kept fogging up, and that hurt me because I couldn’t see anything. On top of that, I had no feeling at all from the front brake, so I fell far behind.
Under those conditions, seeing that I couldn’t be in the points and with the danger of riding without visibility and no chance whatsoever of scoring, and with the risk of getting hurt, I chose to pit and retire.
