Rider Kenny Noyes won the national Speed championship last Sunday in the Superbike category, undoubtedly a dream come true for the Kawasaki rider who, after several seasons competing in various championships, has earned this important title in 2014.

After a great season, the official Kawasaki Spain team, with Kenny Noyes at the helm, has claimed the FIM Cup in the Superbike category. The sole objective of both the Kawasaki Palmeto PL Racing Team and Kenny Noyes before arriving at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo was to fight for the title.

Therefore, we were in for a race full of tension, 19 thrilling laps, in which we saw Kenny get off to a very strong start and take the lead, only to be overtaken by Morales and then battle for several laps with his main rival for the title, Iván Silva. But rider 22 crashed, which allowed Noyes to relax considerably in the final part of the race.

A great season for Kenny, who finally wins a well-deserved title, and now time to enjoy a rest period before returning to action for 2015.

Statements from Kenny Noyes:

The goal for the weekend was to always be ahead of Silva. We managed it very narrowly in practice, and I knew I would have to go at 100% from the start in the race. The start was very important to me, because I found it a bit harder to set times when riding alone, and I knew that getting ahead was the best way to avoid having to take risks overtaking Iván. I kept checking the board lap by lap and saw that he was still close. In the final part of the race I was able to get closer to Carmelo until I saw on the board that Silva was no longer behind me. I looked back, saw the track was empty, and eased off a lot because there were two laps left and I just wanted to reach the finish. It has been a championship I will always remember because I had very tough rivals, and that is something that makes you improve. I want to thank the team, my family, Kawasaki, Michelin, and everyone who believed in me this year and supported me.
