Jules Cluzel the fastest in Supersport FP2 at Misano

Rider Jules Cluzel has managed to be the fastest in the World Supersport free practice at the Misano Circuit. The Frenchman set a very interesting lap time of 1:39.898, being the only rider to dip below 1:39 in this FP2 for SSP.

You can tell that Cluzel and his Honda understand each other perfectly, and they are going to make trouble in QP2 and in the race. It was not easy either, since he could only complete 9 laps due to a small crash, which was resolved quickly but slightly changed the team’s plans for this test session.

Behind Cluzel, Tamburini placed second with another Honda, 0.184s off the fastest man in this FP2, so things are getting interesting. Meanwhile, closing the top 5 are Broc Parkes in 3rd with another Honda, Sam Lowes, who was the fastest yesterday, with another Honda in 4th, and the first NON-Honda was the Kawasaki of Kenan Soufoglu in 5th.

The top 10 was made up of Roccoli in 6th, Quarmby in 7th, Cruciani in 8th, Debise in 9th and Foret in 10th. Meanwhile, Alex Baldolini finished in 12th place, not bad with the Triumph, and for much of the session was among the top ten, trying many things and working to keep improving for QP2, and on the right track. Iannuzzo also rode another Triumph.

It was a busy session in terms of crashes, but luckily none seems to have had consequences beyond the initial scare. Among them were Cluzel, Menghi, Iannuzzo and Andreozzi.

Now we just have to wait for QP2 this afternoon.
