Jorge Lorenzo shines at Sepang and takes the MotoGP pole
Rider Jorge Lorenzo has secured pole position for the MotoGP World Championship at the Sepang Circuit, for the Malaysian Grand Prix, so the Mallorcan is strong and will fight in the race.

Rider Jorge Lorenzo has taken his seventh pole position of the 2012 MotoGP World Championship season at the Sepang Circuit, undoubtedly a statement after seeing Dani Pedrosa dominate almost all the free practice sessions held at the Malaysian track, so both are once again the main protagonists of the Grand Prix.
Without a doubt both are the main protagonists for this 16th round of the season. The title contenders clearly do not want to let anything slip, and they have shown it again in this qualifying at Sepang, with a spectacular Lorenzo over two brutal final laps, pushing to the limit with a time of 2:00.334, beating Rossi’s 2009 record. So the 99 is strong and wants to keep this pace for the most important thing, the race.
Behind Lorenzo, Pedrosa has lined up, who was also at the front for a while, but today the 99 put together two very fast laps combining all the sectors, while Dani’s strong point is the fourth sector, which is totally the 26’s territory, and he manages to recover a lot of time there, but in the end he had to settle for 2nd place, less than two tenths behind the Mallorcan.
Closing out the front row is Andrea Dovizioso, but far back, the Italian cannot keep up with the pace set by our two riders, while completing the top 10 we have Stoner 4th, Crutchlow 5th, Spies 6th, Barberá 7th, Bradl 8th, Hayden 9th and Bautista 10th. The Australian is feeling more confident on track, so watch out for him as he could be part of the Dani and Jorge party.
Further back Rossi placed 11th, Espargaró 12th, De Puniet 13th, Abraham 14th, Pirro 15th, Ellison 16th, Petrucci 17th, Edwards 18th, Rolfo 19th and Silva 20th. In terms of crashes we saw Bautista’s, without consequences, and several other scares.
Tomorrow we have a most spectacular race ahead, and honestly we are eager to see what Dani and Jorge will show us at Sepang.
On to the warm-up and race.
