Safety

Hot or not, always protection

Even when it's hot, always wear protection when riding a motorcycle. Our friend in the cartoon does it, despite being red-hot from the heat...

Summer, heat, holidays, beach, mountains,… We’re in the middle of August, under a heat wave in many areas of our country. We really feel like going to the beach or, if we don’t have one nearby, to the pool. If we feel like it, why not go out instead of slumping on the sofa? But there’s usually a serious problem: parking. Yes, going to the beach on a Sunday, for example, means dying of thirst while looking for a parking space.

That’s why more and more people are deciding to grab their motorcycle and head to the beach, whether it’s ten minutes from home or an hour at a relaxed pace. Following a small cartoon I saw this morning in Motoblog.it, I want to remind you of something of vital importance. Not for the sake of points or the safety of others, but for your own good: Wear a helmet, jacket and gloves, at the very least.

Hot or not, always protection. That’s the phrase, in Italian of course, on this cartoon. The comical character is dying of heat, as you can see, on his Yamaha. But he’s wearing protection. It may sound like child’s play, but it’s important to remember. A silly fall, with the temperature the asphalt usually reaches at this time of year, scrapes you up badly. A decent bump can be “treated” by putting cream on it… but a rash or a burn is quite a nuisance.

From Plusmoto we remind you, through a humorous cartoon, that it costs nothing to put on a helmet, a jacket and the necessary protective gear – it’s not that hard to carry them – to ride a motorcycle. And if you’re hot, you can always speed up a little so the wind cools you down, right? Jokes aside, enjoy your holidays!

"All you need is fuel"...
