Gadea has suffered two vertebrae fractures and a spleen injury in Japan
Rider Sergio Gadea has suffered a very hard crash during the official Moto2 practice sessions at the Motegi circuit, and has injured his vertebrae.

Today we receive bad news from Japan: during the official Moto2 practice sessions at the Motegi circuit, rider Sergio Gadea suffered a serious accident that has caused significant injuries.
We are still waiting for more news about the 33, but we know he has two fractured vertebrae and spleen damage. For the moment he is hospitalized at Dokkyo University in Utsunomiya, awaiting the decision of Japanese doctors on whether to operate now or carry out other procedures first.
The accident occurred when Max Neukirchner apparently lost his brakes and ran into Gadea, who suffered a very violent crash and was seriously hurt in the back area, as was later confirmed by medical tests. After the fall he was taken to the circuit’s medical centre, but was quickly transferred to a hospital in the city, as his injuries are serious.
On behalf of everyone at the PlusMoto.com team, we send him our strength and encouragement, and wish him a speedy recovery, because we want to see him back on top of his Moto2 bike right away!
Keep going, 33.
