Fabio Menghi renews with VFT Racing SSP 2013

The team VFT Racing (Valerio Family Team) has had a celebratory 2012, as it marked 20 years in motorsport competing as an official World Supersport team. It was an intense and rewarding year, and its two riders, Fabio Menghi and Luca Marconi, achieved positive results.

Menghi was one of the big surprises for SSP and his team, scoring points in the opening round of the championship in Australia, after a pre-season that was complicated due to a vertebra fracture suffered at Imola during the 2011 season. Those results, together with his fighting spirit at every event, have led his team to want to keep backing him and counting on him.

The team owner commented:

In 2013 we will once again count on Fabio to improve on last year’s experience, and we will give young riders an opportunity with invitations for Superstock 600. We will compete in that championship with two other riders, with the goal of winning the title.

So, after a 2012 season, they now continue with their riders, and will also look to broaden their horizons in STK600, although their main goal is to follow the progress of their riders in Supersport and fight race by race for improvement.

For now, they have renewed Menghi so they can keep counting on him, his experience and his desire to fight. Now it remains to see how they fare this 2013 season; surely both the team and the riders will fight to stay on the positive path.
