Ducati is considering increasing the number of bikes in MotoGP 2012
The brand Ducati could increase the number of its bikes on track ahead of the 2012 MotoGP World Championship, with the arrival of the 1000cc class, so we might soon see seven red bikes on track, although it is still just a rumour.
For now it already has six bikes taking part in the world championship, with the addition this 2011 season of Karel Abraham in its ranks, as we recall that the Czech rider and his father have a contract with Ducati to lease one of its machines.
This number could be increased if the talks with Aspar for 2012 are confirmed, as they could be negotiating the entry of a second rider alongside Héctor Barberá for the 1000cc bikes, so the grid of the premier class could grow considerably in just one more season.
Without doubt the work Ducati is doing is memorable, as it is the brand with the fewest resources compared to Yamaha and Honda, and yet it has more machines on track than the brand with the tuning fork and the same as the one with the golden wing.
Let’s see what happens with these negotiations with Aspar and with the rest of the teams.
We will keep an eye on MotoGP.
