Ducati gives a Desmosedici RR GP6 to Fernando Alonso
The brand Ducati has decided to give a Desmosedici RR to Fernando Alonso. The Formula 1 driver will receive from the Italians one of the most exclusive motorcycles in the world, a replica of the GP6 that Sete Gibernau and Loris Capirossi rode in the 2006 World Championship.
This replica is restricted to be used outside of circuits, and it features the current designs of Stoner and Hayden’s red bullets.
The gift has a 989 cc engine and 200 CV of power, and it is very exclusive since only 1,500 units have been put on sale worldwide, undoubtedly a very special and numbered edition; the one Alonso has taken is number 1175.
The Desmosedici RR has a price of 65,000 €, a weight of 160 kilos and a top speed of 300 km/h. They have adorned it with the number 8 on the fairing, the same number the Spaniard uses on his Ferrari, so once again the good rapport between the two Italian brands is clearly demonstrated.
We will keep an eye on Ducati.
