Deniz Oncu wins the Moto3 World Championship race in Australia
Rider Deniz Oncu claims the Moto3 World Championship victory at the Phillip Island Circuit in Australia, followed by Sasaki and Kelso.

The Moto3 World Championship was the first to take to the Phillip Island Circuit in Australia, to contest Sunday’s race in complicated conditions on the Australian track, but the category’s entire race was able to go ahead.
The start was good for Sasaki, who managed to hold onto the first position on the grid, in extreme visibility conditions; especially at the beginning, it was hard to make out the riders and their numbers on the track.
The laps went by, watching as Adrián Fernández took the lead with 20 laps to go, while his teammate at the same team, Jaume Masiá, was in comeback mode from the back of the grid. Oncu arrives at the front with great force, though with several significant scares, the Turkish rider managing to stay on his bike.
Several nasty crashes were seen, including Adrián Fernández’s while he led the race with 6 laps to go, leaving Sasaki in the lead, but Oncu gave him no peace, and on the final lap we saw an extreme overtake from 53 to 71.
Finally, victory for Deniz Oncu, ahead of Sasaki and Kelso. The top 10 was completed by Veijer, Fernández, Rossi, Furusato, Masia, Bertelle and Fellon. With this result, Masia remains leader with a 4-point advantage over Sasaki in the overall standings.
On to the next race.
