The rider Dany Torres, one of our Freestyle stars, is going through a long and hard recovery process, since on September 13 he suffered a very nasty fall during an event in the city of Melilla and fractured his tibia and talus in several pieces. So it has been a difficult day for the rider and his people, but as always he is getting back on his feet and overcoming these tougher moments.
After the accident he was immediately transferred to Madrid, where he was treated by Dr. Ángel Villamor at the Hospital San José-Quirón, and was operated on shortly after arriving at the hospital. Fortunately the operation was a complete success and just four days later he was able to begin rehabilitation.
Things have improved a lot, as he now barely has any pain in his foot, although he will not be able to ride a motorcycle for at least two months, so this fall has sidelined our Torre, which is a shame since he was in great shape and achieving great results in both national and international events. But now the only thing to focus on is recovery, rehabilitation and getting better, and if the process follows its normal course he may be able to take part in the last races of the year.
Although Torres has said he does not want to stress, that he wants to focus all his attention on recovery, and over time they will see when he can return to the track at 100%.
Get well soon, Dany.
