Dani Pedrosa: "It is important to keep adding points"

Rider Dani Pedrosa wrote yesterday on his personal Repsol blog, where he commented on his feelings after the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit, where he faced the new tyre for the first time.
For 26 it has not been an easy weekend. Races at Silverstone are somewhat of a lottery given the weather and can complicate the situation greatly, but he was also eager to be at this event since he could not be present last season due to injury, and although it is not one of his favourite tracks, he has given his all to keep adding points.
I’m back home now after a complicated weekend at Silverstone. On the one hand we return happy because, given the circumstances, we have achieved one more podium, and it is always important to keep adding points. On the other hand, I would have liked to fight for the victory, but it was not possible.
The truth is that we struggled quite a bit to find a good set-up during the weekend, and we knew we would have to work hard to be up front. The weather was unpleasant, as is usual there. Although the rain gave us a break from what we expected, the cold and the wind were constant throughout the whole GP.
One of the points that surprised people after the race at the Circuit de Catalunya was Pedrosa’s poor start at this British event, although one can’t always get off the line so perfectly and spectacularly; sometimes it doesn’t go so well and you have to fight and make up positions.
The start did not go as well as we would have liked, and we noticed it during the race. Silverstone is a demanding circuit: very flat, with many corners, and where you usually run fast. I would have liked to be fighting for the victory, but we have to make these points count at the upcoming Grands Prix. We know we have to fight to win races, and we are working hard to achieve it.
This week is a bit of a break, but not too much, because the Dutch Grand Prix is coming up soon and everyone will be back in Assen to keep working, so let’s get ready for this event on the legendary Dutch track. Furthermore, three races in a row are coming up, so we must arrive in top form both physically and mentally.
Today is for resting and disconnecting, but from tomorrow we start preparing for what comes after this week without a GP. Three grands prix in a row and the importance of finishing all three and trying to do it as well as possible. We know the physical toll of racing three times in a row, so it is very important to arrive at one hundred percent physically.
