The MotoGP World Championship has kicked off the action with the first free practice sessions at the Laguna Seca Circuit, a ninth round that brings us many surprises, with the medical OK for Pedrosa and Lorenzo, and Márquez's debut on this track, with a Rossi who is ready for more.

The MotoGP World Championship has kicked off the US Grand Prix at the Laguna Seca Circuit with the first free practice sessions, knowing in advance that the two riders who were in doubt for the ninth round have received the medical OK, so both Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo will be able to take part in the event.
Pedrosa decided not to ride in this FP1 and to wait for FP2 in order to give his shoulder a little more rest, while Lorenzo will head out calmly, to test himself and without taking big risks. With this situation, the first track outing of the premier class has begun on a legendary circuit.
The riders went out with caution, studying the track and getting the feel back on a circuit as spectacular as Laguna Seca, but we saw Cal Crutchlow take the lead of the category and be the fastest with a lap time of 1:22.757, although he didn’t have it easy to leave behind his teammate Valentino Rossi, who dominated for almost the entire practice session, finishing just 0.091s behind.
The third position went to Márquez, the championship leader, who is a complete rookie on this track, since it is the first time he has ridden on it, and the truth is that he seems to have adapted well, but he still has to get more feeling for this circuit. Closing the top 5 were Bradl 4th and Bautista 5th. The Hondas behind the two leading Yamahas.
Completing the top 10 were Dovi 6th, Espargaró 7th, Hayden 8th, Smith 9th and 10th De Puniet. With Lorenzo in 11th position and Barberá 12th. The Mallorcan is taking it easy.
Now on to FP2.
