Castrol Honda team presentation for the 2011 World Superbike Championship

A couple of days ago, the Castrol Honda team was officially presented; it will take part in the 2011 World Superbike Championship, with Rubén Xaus among its riders, so the veteran rider is on one of the teams with good expectations for results.

The 2011 Superbike season will see the return of the legendary Castrol Honda, which has not come just to watch, but aims to fight for the title with its riders, Jonathan Rea and Rubén Xaus, who will be at the controls of a CBR 1000 RR Fireblade.

The team will be run by Ten Kate Racing, with which the Japanese brand has been collaborating for more than ten years in this championship, and very successfully too, having won 9 world titles, 8 of them in the Supersport category.

For Rea it will be his third year in the SBK, while Xaus is a true veteran of the championship, having debuted in 1998 and finishing as runner-up in 2003, before spending two seasons in the MotoGP World Championship.

Without a doubt it is a good pairing of riders: Xaus’s experience and Rea’s desire to keep improving make the Castrol Honda riders some of the most dangerous for 2011.

After many years competing at world level, it is a great and important thing for me to be part of a project as big as Castrol Honda.

The largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world together with one of the most important lubricant companies, managed by Ten Kate, with many world titles behind them.

All of this together makes for a truly exciting combination, and I will give all my talent and effort to help Castrol and the Honda CBR1000RR fight for victories in the 2011 season.
