Bou and Cabestany win the 2012 Trial Indoor of Nations
The 2012 Trial Indoor of Nations has crowned the Spanish pair, Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany, as the big winners, who secured victory in Nice ahead of the Japanese and French teams.
Last week it was once again confirmed that Spanish trial is the strongest, with the best riders and the most potential, since our pair of riders, Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany, took the victory at the Trial Indoor of Nations held in Nice, leaving the rest of the pairs behind and offering little resistance; without a doubt, the best in the world in action.
The Spanish team, which was the clear favourite given its performances in recent years, had no major problems and won the 2012 Trial Indoor of Nations, with the Japanese and French pairs behind them on the podium, but seven points ahead of them. For Spain, they were the best pair of riders possible, being the reigning champion and runner-up of the Indoor Trial World Championship.
So Spain added another win to its record, ahead of the Japanese with Fujinami and Ogawa, and the French with Gubian and Ferrer. The event consisted of a course of two laps with six sections, with a key time limit of seven minutes to complete it. Each member of the pair rode one lap, the errors of both were added together, and a final result was obtained by pairs.
Our riders were very consistent, each scoring one point and gaining a seven-point advantage over their closest rivals, another demonstration of their dominance.
Below you can see the final standings:
- Spain (Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany), 2 points
- Japan (Ogawa and Fujinami), 9 points
- France (Ferrer and Gubian), 17 points
- Great Britain (Dabill and Brown), 22 points
- Norway (Andersen and Pedersen), 46 points
