Ander Valentin and Iker Larrañaga triumph at the MX Nacional in Talavera
Valentín and Larrañaga win the MX Nacional round in Talavera de la Reina

The Spanish Motocross Championship held a high-performance weekend in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, where all the participants in this championship gave their maximum in their respective categories.
On Saturday, Oriol Oliver and Víctor Puig took victory in the races held in the afternoon. Meanwhile, José Antonio Butrón took the Hesperia-Michelin Holeshot and led the first two laps, but Ander Valentín passed him to win. In this way, the KTM rider and Carlos Campano offered an exciting battle for second place. Halfway through the moto, Campano overtook Butrón to take the checkered flag behind Ander. José Antonio finished third.
In the second race, Valentín was back in the lead, also taking the Hesperia-Michelin Holeshot, thus climbing to the top step of the podium and leaving Talavera with the 24MX Red Plate. Butrón was second and managed to close in on the Navarran until he passed him during one lap, but a mistake dropped him to third, with Carlos Campano second after a crash at the start of the moto. All three appeared in the winners’ photo on the podium: Ander first, Carlos second and José Antonio third.
In ÉliteMX2, Iker Larrañaga once again played his own league, starting in the lead and not giving up that position at any point, although the Hesperia-Michelin Holeshot went to Simeó Ubach. Behind them, up to five riders fought for the remaining podium spots, swapping positions and constantly overtaking one another. In the end, Rubén Fernández, back in the national championship, and Richard Sikyna, after passing Mario Lucas, took the checkered flag in second and third place, respectively. In the second moto, Ubach started like a rocket to achieve the double on the Hesperia-Michelin Holeshot. After the first laps, Larrañaga took command again until crossing the finish line, followed by Rubén Fernández and Richard Sikyna. The KTM rider is now the more dominant leader and keeps his 24MX Red Plate.
In MX125, Oriol Oliver, as on Saturday, was the protagonist and dominated the entire race from the fall at the gate. David Braceras rode second to finish in that position, and Guillem Farrés third. All three, in this same order, climbed onto the podium. In MX85, Edgar Canet won the moto with a very high pace, shaking off the bitter taste of yesterday, when he crashed and was relegated to second place. Víctor Puig finished second, well behind Canet, but also ahead of Daniela Guillem, who was third. All three reached the podium: Edgar Canet first, Víctor Puig second and Daniela Guillem third.
The next round of the RFME Spanish Motocross Championship will be held in Miajadas, Cáceres, with the MXSub18, MX65 and MXFemenino categories. Élite and MX125 will return to action in Malpartida de Cáceres on March 16 and 17.
