38Team, Martínez and Estévez triumph at Alcarrás
The Alcarrás Circuit hosted the Rodi Michelín this weekend, where we saw a lot of action. Without a doubt, the most interesting thing was the first speed event held at this circuit after the winter break. Action is back.
The Alcarrás Circuit hosted the Rodi Michelín Cup this weekend, where we saw a lot of action and which saw 38Team, Robert Martínez and David Estévez crowned winners, in what was the first event of the 2013 season.
So many riders on track yesterday, marking the first event at the Catalan circuit after the competition’s break, so the two-wheelers are back. In addition, it was a great day: everyone in attendance and the crowd enjoyed the endurance race.
The 38Team was the clear dominator of those 3 hours of racing, and they dominated everything, from pole position to the race. They proved very strong at this event, although one team was able to keep pace with them, without being able to attack directly but staying in contention: TMR, who finished second, one lap behind the winners. These two teams rode 1000cc bikes, while the first 600cc team was Oli Team, which was also fourth in the overall standings.
Robert Martínez was the best in the Open subcategory, the fastest of the 1000cc class, taking pole position and also the victory. In second place was Benjamí Vallmanya, while third went to Jonathan Rastrero, who was the first 600cc rider in the overall standings. The amateurs also received some recognition, with David Estévez becoming the best of them. Despite not setting the fastest time for pole position, he won Sunday’s event.
Maximum interest in the Copa Rodi Michelin.
