Yamaha withdraws from the Supersport World Championship
The brand Yamaha has decided to leave the Supersport World Championship, despite achieving great results and winning the World Championship with rider Cal Crutchlow. Next season, they will not be on the grid.
The lack of budget has been the cause of this withdrawal from the reigning champion brand. Apparently they did everything possible to try to keep the brand in the competition, but it was not possible and in the end they had to withdraw from this World Championship.
For now, all research and production for this championship has been halted, but the members of the Yamaha Europe team do not want to give up and are looking for a solution to stay in the competition. Apparently they are talking with some teams to see if they can reach an agreement.
We will keep a close eye on the Supersport World Championship.
