Rider Toni Bou has taken the victory in the last round of the year of the TrialGP World Championship in Italy.

Rider Toni Bou has taken the victory in the final round of the 2017 TrialGP World Championship, so after clinching the title at the previous event, the Repsol Honda rider arrived in Italy calm and eager to enjoy closing out the year.
The rain on Sunday morning made the tricky sections more demanding, but they didn’t seem too difficult for Toni Bou, who once again opened up the gap on his rivals when it came to showcasing his technique. The Repsol Honda Team rider finished first with 18 penalty points, versus 27 for second-place finisher Adam Raga. It is Bou’s eighth win this season out of 10 possible, and his 97th in his world championship career.
In third place was Jaime Busto, who confirmed his third-place finish in the FIM TrialGP World Championship with another excellent result. It was not easy, but the Basque rider found a good rhythm, allowing him to get into the fight for the podium. Busto has earned six podiums in his third year in the top category. The top five was completed by Dabil in 4th and Fajardo in 5th. With this result, the championship closed with Bou as champion on 192 points, followed by Raga on 164 points.
Statements from Toni Bou:
I started with a lot of enthusiasm and very good feelings. After winning the title, I wanted to win again in a ‘different’ event. The result in the Czech Republic was good, but I wasn’t completely satisfied. We changed something and the result has been very positive. A great victory with great feelings. I’m grateful to the team for the excellent work done this year. Here in Italy I really enjoy racing, the crowd appreciates me a lot and I value that too, and I try to put in good performances.
