Toni Bou wins the day 2 event of the TrialGP in the United States
Rider Toni Bou has claimed victory on day 2 of the TrialGP World Championship in the United States.

The rider Toni Bou has claimed victory on day 2 in Kingman, in the United States. The dominant force of the weekend in Kingman, Arizona, was Toni Bou, who, after the rain that fell on Saturday night, found the sections had become more complicated than the previous day.
In these conditions, Bou felt much more comfortable and was able to ride without the pressure of having to make not even a single mistake. In the first lap he lost only three points and in the second lap six, clearly taking the win in the event.
It was a double success for the Repsol Honda Team, with Jaime Busto finishing in second place and strengthening his third place in the overall championship standings ahead of his teammate Takahisa Fujinami, who was unable to fight for the podium on Sunday and finished in seventh place. Completing the podium was Jeroni Fajardo, who stayed close to Busto but was well behind Bou in points.
With the results of this weekend, Toni Bou now holds a twenty-eight point lead in the overall standings, which means that if he maintains the gap over his main rival in the title fight at the next event, the Repsol Honda Team rider could be mathematically crowned champion ahead of schedule.
Now the riders will compete in the seventh and penultimate round of the FIM TrialGP World Championship, in Sokolov, Czech Republic, which will take place on September 10.
Statements from Toni Bou:
I am very happy with how the event went. It looked like it would be a bit trickier with last night’s rain, but it quickly became easy… Three points in the first lap is very few… I am very happy with my riding in an easy event, and a step forward in the championship because this has been a fantastic weekend. Now, let’s enjoy the summer to the full because we deserve it. We are having a great season in all three championships and now it’s time to… enjoy the summer!
