The Superbike World Championship pays tribute to the Japanese people at Donington Park
Yesterday the second round of the Superbike World Championship was held at Donington Park, but the racing was not the only thing on the agenda at the British circuit. A few minutes before the start of the first SBK race of the day, all the championship riders gathered on the track to pay tribute to Japan.
There is no doubt that everyone has been shocked by the catastrophe the Japanese people are going through, which is why the SBK riders did not want to miss the chance to send them strength and support, with Noriyuki Haga as the figurehead of the tribute.
The Japanese rider stood at the centre holding the support flag signed by all the riders, a lovely gesture that the veteran rider has thanked everyone for.
A beautiful detail from the Superbike World Championship.
We will keep watching the Superbikes.
