The new MV Agusta Brutale R1090 arrives

We can now enjoy the first photos of the most “brutal” naked bike from the Italian brand MV Agusta. The Brutale R1090 is based on the affordable 920 that was unveiled at the end of last year.

The new Brutale R1090 will feature a 1078cc four-cylinder engine producing 144hp at 10,300rpm, with a starting price in Italy of €13,990.

Its tubular chassis stands out, combining aluminum and steel sections, with 50mm Marzocchi forks and a Sachs swingarm, tuned specifically to tackle the most twisty roads and the most demanding circuits.

The new MV Agusta Brutale R1090 fits a 190/55 rear tire on a 17-inch rim and an ECU with specific programming offering 8 power delivery levels selectable by the rider. Its ergonomics are designed so the passenger can sit comfortably on the one-piece seat.

The Brutale comes in three colors: white, red and black. It will be available at the end of this September. In addition to this new model, MV Agusta has announced a new matte titanium grey color for the Brutale 920 MY2012.
