Superbike World Championship riders visit the Nürburg castle

The Superbike World Championship kicks off action today in Germany, but yesterday the riders made an official visit and enjoyed every corner of Nürburg, including the medieval castle.

The Superbike World Championship riders spent yesterday on an official visit ahead of the start of the World SBK Championship round at the Nürburgring circuit, so several riders have been present at this first activity of the weekend in Germany.

Specifically, the following riders have attended these outings: Marco Melandri, Davide Giugliano, Eugene Laverty, Leon Camier, Sylvain Guintoli, Loris Baz, Hiroshi Aoyama and Maxime Berger. All of them were the stars at the famous medieval castle of Nürburg and in the Eifel forest.

Without a doubt, we have a very interesting round ahead, the second-to-last race of the Superbike World Championship season, so things are starting to be decided, and it’s time to step up. The big favorites for the world title are the current leader, Marco Melandri, Max Biaggi and Tom Sykes, while Carlos Checa sits a little further back and, although his situation is complicated, you never know in the world of motorcycle racing.

Today the real action begins with free practice, followed by the official sessions in the afternoon, while tomorrow we will see the second official session and then the moment of truth, the fight for superpole, leaving the rest of the excitement for the two races that will be held on Sunday at the Nürburgring.

Who are you betting on?
The truth is that it’s difficult, but given the power Melandri showed in Russia with his victory, and his recent races, the Italian seems to be at a good level. Biaggi is always present and dangerous, and Sykes rides a Kawasaki that works very well. I also don’t want to overlook Checa, although his situation is complicated.

Excitement in Germany.
