Silverstone Circuit will host the MotoGP World Championship for 2015 and 2016

The International Motorcycling Federation confirmed that the British Grand Prix of this 2015 World Motorcycling Championship season will be held at Silverstone Circuit, so after the rumours and the possible departure of the championship from the British territory, it has finally been confirmed that the replacement venue for Donington Park would be Silverstone.

The event will take place over the weekend of 28 to 30 August and thus ensures the continuity of MotoGP competitions in the United Kingdom following the recent announcement that Donington Park will not host the event. This is therefore good news for two-wheel enthusiasts in the area, as the British have a great passion for motorcycles, and it would have been a shame to leave them without any race.

The Silverstone track returns after its departure in 2014, but it seems that the organisers, after seeing this event being lost to Donington Park, set to work to solve all the problems, and following the fall of the Donington track they have returned to the scene with several improvements.

It has been confirmed from the circuit that new pricing structures will be introduced for various ticket types, one of which will be for families. So we will have to wait a little longer for the announcement, but what we do know is that Silverstone will host the British GP in 2015 and 2016, while the Welsh track is still under construction.
