Sandra Denise will also take to the track at Motorland
Sandra Denise Jones is a Catalan rider from the province of Lleida, who currently holds the Féminas Cup title. She has been competing in the championship for two years: the first time she finished second, and this season she has been crowned champion.
Sandra has been chosen to ride the second SafetyBike alongside Enrique Royuela from Teruel.
Let’s get to know the rider a little better:
In the 2010 season she won every single race that made up the Féminas Cup. She has also taken part in other regional non-women’s competitions, always with notable results.
Furthermore, this season she is racing in the Kawasaki Ninja Cup, a series in which Elena Rosell became the first woman to win a race a few years ago.
2009: 5th in the Pirelli Superstock 1000 Open; 2010: 3rd in the Féminas Albacete FCMM Cup, 2nd in the Féminas Alcañiz FCMM Cup, 1st in the Féminas Castellolí FCMM Cup, 10th in the FCMM Supersport Championship.
We are seeing how the names of female riders are gradually coming to light. In a few years, surely, we will no longer be so surprised by it. That will be a good sign: it will mean we have grown used to them being there, and that no one doubts they are there because they deserve it.
