Moreno, Martín and Vázquez go all out with their Moto3 bikes after Valencia

Team Machado and Team Laglisse have completed the IRTA test at the Cheste circuit with positive feelings; they are on the right track with their three riders, Adrián Martín, Iván Moreno and Efrén Vázquez.

Team Laglisse and Team Machado join forces in a new adventure in the Moto3 category of the Motorcycle World Championship, a real first for next season, 2012, in which they will go hand in hand with their riders Iván Moreno, Efrén Vázquez and Adrián Martín. All three have already been able to test their new bikes during the official training held this week at the Cheste circuit, and for now, as they say, the little Honda seems to be working.

For the most experienced of the three riders, Efrén Vázquez has had three intense days, full of work, but with positive feelings on his new Moto3, and he positions himself as one of the contenders for the crown of this new displacement class, which is a real unknown.

Vázquez’s statements:

I am very happy with the team’s work. The first training sessions of the year are usually when one adapts to the team’s way of working, but we have had a very good understanding and have gone one step further. We have been able to make the most of the time and we are already working on the bike’s setup. I feel very well supported and very confident in the team’s potential.

For his part, Martín is excited about this new project and season, and hopes to be among the leaders in his third full year in the World Championship. Great moments undoubtedly await him with this team, and he is already looking forward to the arrival of the IRTA tests in Jerez.

The last day was the most positive. We were able to work much more thoroughly on the bike and made good progress with it; we have to keep discovering its strong points and improve as much as possible.

The team is working very well, I feel very comfortable with the work they are doing and, although we still have a lot to get to know each other, my impression is very good.

The surprise signing is that of Iván Moreno, the CEV rider who makes the big leap in 2012 to the world championship. He finally has the great opportunity and will surely give his maximum. Yesterday he was able to try his Moto3 and the first impressions seem very good, although Iván is carrying a complicated wrist injury and has not been able to be at 100%.

Moreno’s statements:

I have a lot of work ahead, a lot to learn and a lot to improve. Yesterday I was able to ride a few laps on the bike, but today was really my first day, and I think we have done a good job.

My wrist is bothering me and does not let me ride comfortably, but it is a matter of days before it improves. In this regard I have to thank Pablo Nieto, who gave me some advice that helped me minimise the pain in my wrist and allowed me to lower my times.

Next week we will have a new opportunity in Jerez and I will be there at full throttle.
