Miralles and Schouten wildcards in Moto3 at Assen
The Dutch Grand Prix Moto3 will feature Julián Miralles and Bryan Schouten as wildcards, so a new adventure for both of them in the World Championship.
This week the Dutch Grand Prix will be held at the legendary Assen circuit, where we will see two riders as wildcards in the Moto3 category, the maximum allowed by the FIM regulations, and among them we have one of our riders from the Spanish Speed Championship: Julián Miralles and Bryan Schouten.
Miralles returns to the World Championship four years after his last experience in 2008 at the Cheste Circuit, undoubtedly a dream come true again for the CEV rider who will once again be seen in the World Championship. His beginnings at the Bankia Cradle of Champions, his rapid promotion and his good results led him to the 125cc World Championship in 2005 alongside Team Aspar, but things did not go as expected and the agreement ended early, so he decided to take a sabbatical season before returning with the MIR Racing project.
Now he will compete in this wildcard with the MIR Racing Moto3, Honda NSF250R engine, and a chassis based on the Aprilia RSA125. We will also see some novelties that have not been seen on this bike in the CEV in its fairing.
The second rider is Bryan Schouten of the Dutch Racing Team, and it will be his second experience in the World Championship. In the first one he rode a Honda RS125R, and now he will work alongside Jasper Iwema. His record is very national, with four Dutch titles in 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2011.
We will see how the wildcards fare at Assen. It is not an easy circuit, it is the cathedral of motorcycle racing, so let’s go all out.
