Márquez starts strongly at Misano

From the first session, Márquez is riding at the limit on the Italian circuit of Misano. His goal is to keep cutting into Stefan Bradl's points in the fight for the world title.

Still riding high on his victory last Sunday in the United States, Márquez returns to work with the aim of continuing his progress and the working method that is delivering such good results.

He dominated the first free practice session at Misano with authority, but in the second, his main rival in the title fight, Stefan Bradl, managed to beat his morning time and finish as the fastest rider of the day.

The reigning 125cc world champion, said he was very pleased to see that the work carried out at the previous rounds is useful for this weekend. On a twisty circuit, Marc has not changed the setup of his Suter much, and has posted good times from the very first moment.

Not even the threat of rain in the second session slowed him down, and he remained consistent throughout the entire session. Traffic in the final minutes prevented him from improving on the time he set in the first session.

Statements from Marc Márquez:

I think the assessment of this first day is very good, since we have been improving bit by bit. The most important thing is that from the very start we came out with a base setup suited to this type of circuit. I think that is one of the most important things and it has allowed us to be fighting among the best from the beginning.

From here on, tomorrow we will see how things go, because it is clear that we cannot relax. It will be very important to stay focused in qualifying, since in this class it is very important to start from the front row.
