Marc Márquez: "It has been a positive day" at Cheste

Rider Marc Márquez continues his Moto2 test at the Cheste circuit, refining every detail of his riding and his machine to face the final part of the season at full strength.

Rider Marc Márquez took advantage of the improved asphalt conditions at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit to complete a positive day of testing yesterday, so for the second consecutive day, the Repsol rider was out on the Cheste circuit, accumulating mileage and experience ahead of the decisive final phase of the Motorcycle World Championship.

A new and productive day in which the Repsol rider completed 65 laps, more than 260 kilometres running different tests on the setup, gathering important data together with his team for the upcoming races.

Márquez continued the line of work started on the first day and, thanks to the gradual improvement in the grip offered by the asphalt of the Valencian track, evaluated some new components supplied by Suter. Together with his team, the Repsol rider has found some positive changes for the upcoming tests, as well as ruling out some components that did not perform as expected.

The Repsol rider will complete a final training session today, before focusing on the next World Championship round, next weekend at the Motorland Aragón circuit.

Statements from Marc Márquez:

It has been a positive day, as the grip of the asphalt has improved a lot and, in these conditions, we were able to ride faster and do good work. We managed to complete quite a few laps and try different improvements that Suter has brought.

The team is working very well and tomorrow we will continue along this line, so that we arrive at Aragón with much more data that will be useful for the bike’s setup.
