Marc Márquez is the fastest in Moto2 FP3
Rider Marc Márquez was the best in the third practice session of the Moto2 World Championship at the Brno circuit. The Catalan went out on track in complicated conditions, half dry and half wet, but that is how he practised in these conditions.
For his part, the category leader decided not to take risks and left the spotlight to his teammate Randy Krummenachar and to his main rival, Márquez, who were the two riders who pushed hardest in the final part of today’s free practice.
Márquez set a 2:09.067 on his last flying lap, leaving the second-placed rider just 0.030s behind, Krummenacher was without doubt the big surprise of the day, proving that his machine works just as well with Brald’s controls as with his own.
Behind, Stefan Bradl came in, the leader did not go out until the final part of the session. He preferred not to take risks, nor did he want to set up the wet settings, since the qualifying and the race are expected to be run DRY, finishing 0.556s behind his main rival.
Fourth place went to Kenan Sofouglu, followed by Aegerter in fifth, De Angelis sixth, Noyes seventh, Smith eighth, Pirro ninth and Kallio tenth; so very well done to our Kenny, who has shown his improvement after the latest changes, making this result very interesting.
Other Spanish riders also showed good feelings, such as Ricky Cardús, who was in the top 10 for a good while, after which he lost some strength, but he was seen up front and with good pace; as was Torres, who was 9th for a long time, but unfortunately crashed while pushing to improve.
The rest of the Spanish riders finished: MARQUEZ 1, NOYES 7, MORALES 14, PONS 16, RABAT 19, CARDUS 23, P.ESPARGARO 25, SIMON 28, TORRES 29, A.ESPARGARO 39.
Now it’s time for qualifying.
