Marc Márquez is already riding the Moto2
The rider from Cervera has completed his first serious pre-season test after 5 months without riding a Moto2. Following a brief introduction at Alcarrás, he has ridden two full days at the Albacete circuit
Marc Márquez’s first real test this season at the controls of his Suter Moto2 took place at the Albacete circuit. After an initial test of 8 laps at the Alcarrás circuit, Marc has been riding for two days on the La Mancha track with very positive feelings.
The sun and good temperatures helped Márquez ride calmly in this first introduction. He completed short runs to get to know his physical condition again. The world runner-up has once again felt like a rider and is already regaining his feel after 5 months without riding his Moto2.
These two full days of training have allowed the Cervera rider to make steady progress, covering very important kilometres ahead of the start of the season on 8 April in Qatar. Before that, we will be able to see Marc again at the official MotoGP tests at the Jerez circuit, on Monday 19 March.
Statements from Marc Márquez:
Thanks to the Alcarrás test, it was possible to be in Albacete and do this real test. The truth is that it was incredible to get back on the bike. These two days of training help me add kilometres, to feel the sensations on the Suter again and to be convinced that I can ride at Jerez.
I still have a little way to go, but this is a first big step in my pre-season. I thank the team for their patience all this time, the sponsors and the fans who have given me so much affection.
