Julián Simón will undergo surgery today with Dr. Villamor
Rider Julián Simón goes under the knife today in Madrid, where Dr. Villamor will remove all the hardware that was placed in his leg some time ago. It is a procedure to clear out the remaining material so he can arrive in the best possible condition for the 2013 Moto2 World Championship season.

Rider Julián Simón goes under the knife today. Our Moto2 World Championship star, together with his trusted medical team, has decided that now is the best time to operate on his leg and be at 100% for next season.
Without a doubt, the 60 wants to arrive in the best conditions for the 2013 Moto2 World Championship season. He has therefore decided that the moment has come to place himself in the hands of Dr. Villamor and have all the material in his injured leg removed, the hardware left over from the crash with Sofouglu at the Circuit de Catalunya.
So this is a procedure to prepare for the coming year, so he can reach his new team, Italtrans Racing, in the best physical condition and with everything ahead of him to adapt to the Kalex, his dream bike, which we already saw him riding in a test. Let all the other riders and entrants in the intermediate class take note: Julito is getting himself ready to reach 100% for next season and fight for a title that promises to be a lot of fun.
Many riders could be in the fight for this championship, but Julián Simón’s name is on that list. It’s time to leave behind the ghosts of injuries and crashes and start a new year with strength, hope and all in.
From Plusmoto.com we wish Julián the very best, and we look forward to news soon.
Good luck, champion.
