Johann Zarco is the fastest in the 125cc warm-up at Brno
Rider Johann Zarco has been the fastest in the 125cc category during the warm-up at the Brno circuit. The Frenchman, who will start second on the grid, set the best time in this last session before the race.
Zarco set a time of 2.08.462, while Nico Terol finished behind him, nearly three tenths of a second off the Frenchman, with the number 5 once again being the biggest threat to the category leader.
More than a second off the pace of the fastest rider, Sandro Cortese placed in the top spots, followed by a strong Alberto Moncayo in fourth, Efrén Vázquez fifth, Sergio Gadea sixth, Héctor Faubel seventh, Danny Kent eighth, Jasper Iwema ninth and Miguel Oliveira tenth.
The scare of the day came with Luis Salom, who crashed and injured his right hand. The Mallorcan will not be able to race and will soon fly back to his home city to see whether the injury requires surgery.
Now it is time for the race.
