Joan Mir triumphs in the Moto3 race at Barcelona-Catalunya
Rider Joan Mir has claimed victory at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the Moto3 category.

The Moto3 World Championship was the first to hit the track at Barcelona-Catalunya for the seventh race of the 2017 season, and it did so with our riders as the absolute protagonists after what had happened in Saturday’s official practice session.
The start was good for Fenati, who took the lead, but a spectacular Joan Mir quickly passed him and moved into the lead. They were not alone, however: Canet, who had been one of the dominant riders on Friday and Saturday, showed signs of life and moved up to first.

After 5 laps, with 10 to go, we saw Canet in first position, but an incredible finish awaited us between them on a circuit packed until the flag, with the Spanish riders very strong at home. With 5 laps to go it was Fenati who led, trying to break away from the race and escape, but no one could shake off the group of pursuing riders.
And the moment of truth arrived, the final lap with maximum expectation, Martín was in the lead, with the fight remaining between Martín, Mir and Fenati, a spectacular battle between our riders, with Joan Mir finally winning ahead of them, Fenati 2nd and Martín 3rd. The top 10 was completed by Bastianini 4th, Canet 5th, Ramírez 6th, Di Giannantonio 7th, Migno 8th, Bulega 9th and 10th Suzuki. The rest of our riders finished Guevara 17th, Herrera 26th, Viu 28th.
Fourth victory for Mir, who strengthens his lead in the overall standings, opening a 45-point gap over Romano Fenati and 48 points over Arón Canet.
On to the next race.
