Today the CEV Buckler test begins at the Albacete Circuit
The Spanish Speed Championship returns to action for 2012 at the Albacete Circuit, where the first CEV preseason test will take place.
Today not only does the second MotoGP World Championship test get underway at the Sepang Circuit, but we also have the first preseason test of many teams in the Spanish Speed Championship, the CEV Buckler is about to get underway, and all the participants and their teams are eagerly preparing for 2012 at the Albacete Circuit.
Two days of training are expected, with a lot of work, as it will be the first contact for riders who are switching bikes and teams, so there will be many new developments at the Albacete track. Among them we will see Román Ramos with his Ariane2 from Team Motorrad, but he will not be going alone: the whole team he has put together for the coming season will be there too, including Albert Arenas, Andrea Migno, Xavi Forés and Dani Sáez.
The Monlau Competición team will also be at the circuit, with its riders, including the young 15-year-old rider, María Herrera, and the 2011 runner-up in the national 125GP championship, Álex Márquez, who, after testing the World Moto3 bike as a replacement for the injured Rins, now has to get to work on his bike for 2012.
For its part, the Kawasaki Palmeto PL Racing team arrives eager to see its new rider on its machine: last season’s champion alongside the runner-up, without a doubt a dangerous duo with plenty of potential. Surely Santi Barragán will give his all, starting with these Stock Extreme tests.
We do not have confirmation of all the riders who will take part in these preseason tests at the Albacete Circuit, but Josep Rodríguez and Juanfran Guevara will also be testing with their Moto3 bikes from Wild Wolf BST, as will Juan Ramírez with his Moto2 Kalex from the TSR team. In addition, there will be two World Championship riders, since the Team Moto2 JIR confirmed it would be on track conducting a private test with its two riders, Johann Zarco and Eric Granado, so the preparation for the 2012 season carries on.
As soon as we have the list of participants we will keep updating it, and commenting on the results of these two days of training in Albacete.
