Héctor Faubel returns to work this week to continue his readaptation to the 125cc
Rider Héctor Faubel returns to work after the Christmas break, as it’s time to get down to business ahead of the 2011 season of the 125cc World Championship, so the Valencian will begin his plan this week to readapt to the smallest category in the championship.
The Team Aspar rider needs to continue fine-tuning both physically and technically, since he has to regain the feeling on the 125cc after moving up through 250cc and Moto2, so he will have to work very hard with his new machine.
First he will focus on losing weight to ride better on these smaller bikes, and to regain the most suitable fitness so as not to be at a disadvantage compared to riders who are more accustomed to this category, so everything he gained to move up to the intermediate class he now has to shed.
Afterwards his fitness trainer has prepared sessions for him at the KSB Sport facilities in Paterna, where, together with Kike Bañuls, he will work with low-displacement two-stroke bikes and even motocross machines to continue adapting to the 125cc.
The World Championship riders are not far from returning to the track; pre-season training for the 125cc is scheduled for February, so before long we will have all the riders giving it gas on the circuits of the 2011 calendar.
We will keep an eye on Héctor Faubel.
