Good recovery for Checa and Badovini after Australia SBK
The Ducati Alstare team is already on its way home, although our Carlos Checa seems to have stayed behind to rest and work in New Zealand after the scare he gave us in Australia. Luckily, the #7 has recovered and will be causing trouble at the Motorland Aragón Circuit.
The Ducati Alstare team at the World Superbike Championship is already preparing to leave behind the race at Phillip Island, where it had little luck with Badovini’s earlier injury and that nasty crash for Carlos Checa, which luckily turned out to be just a scare and nothing more.
The team is very eager and hopeful about what it saw on the Australian track in Superpole and in the laps before the #7’s crash. Moreover, the Ducati Panigale has shown good potential, and day by day it seems to be better prepared to challenge the Aprilias, BMW and Kawasakis.
The team has commented that the whole squad is already on its way home, but it seems that our Carlos Checa is still recovering from the scare he suffered in Australia, and he is doing so by taking some free time and resting in New Zealand, so that he arrives with his batteries fully charged for the next event at the Motorland Aragón Circuit, where last season they unveiled a statue in honor of the 2011 World SBK champion.
The recovery is complete, and everything has turned out to be just a scare, so no one in the team doubts the Catalan rider’s participation in the next round, what worries them most is Badovini’s recovery. For now they are still awaiting the most recent results regarding the foot injury, although in principle the doctors gave their OK.
Good news about Checa, and it seems Badovini will also be ready for the second round of the 2013 SBK.
